Meet your guide

Cathy Fort Leyland

Spiritual Director, Writer

One of the best decisions I ever made was moving to Vancouver, British Columbia over 30 years ago. Upon discovering the hamlet of Deep Cove, its breathtaking beauty stirred something within me and erupted in a declaration, “If I lived here I could become a writer!” We couldn’t find housing in the Cove at the time, but the dream that birthed that day remained etched in my soul and 25 years later, it became a reality.

My husband, John, has lived on the water’s edge for over 20 years, and his family for more than 100 years. I’m a newcomer in the last decade. Retirement affords me time to feed my passions. Writing and spiritual direction top the list. I love to swim, stay active, dote on my grandkids, and connect heart-to-heart with friends.

In this space, I offer you soulful reflections to encourage your heart and deepen your faith; a place to find hope for the journey based on Truth from God’s Word.

Here’s to growing together,

You are invited to follow along in this writing adventure in hope that your faith deepens and your perspective widens.
